Auden House is an extra care home (sheltered scheme) accommodating 24 residents with communal facilities for the elderly who need support to live independently.
Project Objectives: Setup an Internet Café at Auden House c/o York Housing Association.
CCS2000 were instructed to setup and configure an Internet cafe in order to provision unrestricted Internet access for YHA personnel and also create a public service network (PSN), with a secure WIFI zone for the residents using a proxy server to distribute content filtered network services to 5 Internet Café PCs. This service is also available to members of the public by purchasing a pre-generated ticket (expiry time and date options) which allows the user to log in for the allotted time. A colour printing facility is also included at a predefined cost per page.
CCS2000 used standard off-the-shelf components to construct the Internet cafe. Printer jobs were held in a queue and released by coffee shop staff on demand. Contact us and you too can get reliable and robust systems from CCS.
